The application of machine learning analysis into research on medical decision making raises many important questions. How should the ethicality of artificial intelligence research methods be appraised? How do artificial intelligence research methods align with ethical standards of human subject studies? She is a member of the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) and was appointed as Aalto Distinguished Professor in 2023.
